Terms Of Use
Use the app within its supported scope and review the included license notices.
Free Desktop Utility
Free Folder Monitor is provided as a free Windows desktop utility. Check the current supported scope and inspect results before relying on them.
Use Files And Settings You May Change
Monitor locations you may access and respect other users' privacy. Paths and filenames in exported logs can reveal private information. Use a backup tool separately if you need versions or restoration.
Open-Source Components
Included components retain their own copyright, license and warranty notices. See Open Source for corresponding source and upstream project links. The modified interface is an independent product, not an endorsement by the upstream maintainers.
No Guaranteed Result
Monitoring watches supported local folders while running. Pause stops the watcher; changes made while paused are not captured. The app retains up to 5,000 events. Heavy activity or Windows notification overflow can cause missed events. UNC network paths are not supported.
Optional Software Is Separate
An optional research invitation has its own visible Agree / Decline screen and policies. Declining it does not prevent using the free application.
