Supported Scope
Free Folder Monitor uses watchdog’s Windows event backend to watch a supported local folder for create, modify, delete and rename notifications. Choose recursion and view filters, pause or resume monitoring, and export all retained events (up to 5,000) to CSV. UNC network paths are not supported.
Important Limits
Monitoring watches supported local folders while running. Pause stops the watcher; changes made while paused are not captured. The app retains up to 5,000 events. Heavy activity or Windows notification overflow can cause missed events. UNC network paths are not supported.
Keep A Sensible Safety Copy
Monitor locations you may access and respect other users' privacy. Paths and filenames in exported logs can reveal private information. Use a backup tool separately if you need versions or restoration.
